What do I do with my room?

Ugh. My room is a MESS! There is junk all over the place, and clothes I don’t want in my closet. Basically, the only things I want in it are my iPod, my Mac, and some clothes ( the really nice ones, that I really like). I don’t even want my bed. Everything is filled with junk like old pens, light up stuff, stuff I got for free, Dolls (I’m 13) and just plain-old mess. I’m sick and tired off it. (First problem) I’m moving at the end of next year and it’s gonna be my room’s new start. Everything will be new – new bed, blankets, desk, wardrobe. And I’m gonna get rid of everything. But I feel really bad just throwing everything away. But I don’t think I could get money for anything except the furniture, like my bed, desk and nightstand. (Second problem) I don’t think I can wait, and live like this for another year. I just can’t stand it!

Well, there are many easy solutions. Like you mentioned, you could sell the furniture. You could also repaint the furniture and give them a whole new look instead of buying new furniture.
You could have an adult help you with an ebay account. You would be shocked what people will buy…do not assume you can’t get any $ for your things. I bet you’d be surprised.Have a big yard sale!

Anything that does not sell, you should donate to a shelter, a church, a foster home, etc. You would be surprised how much one of your dolls will mean to a litttle girl at a shelter or foster home that does not get any gifts or toys. You will feel great when you know you put a smile on someone face. Donate the furniture to them too ( if you don’t really need the $)

As far as the old pens & the stuff that is truly junk…you probably will be better off throwing it away. I bet you’ll be amazed how much better you will fel about your environment when you get organized. Just be cautious or your new room could very quickly & easily end up in the same condition as your old room. Good Luck!
