What three ideas from A doll’s House-Henrik Ibsen can support that it was unconventional for its time?
Im writing a paper on Ibsen’s A Doll’s House. I was wondering what ideas can support that this novel was unconventional for its time, such as its style and how is it different from that of traditional writing during this time.
1. Woman at that time could not make ANY decisions.
2. The wife left her husband, never really happened then.
4. She had/hid her own money.
5. Never told her husband.
6. She demanded rights not afforded to women at the time.
If I recall, the writing, the grammar and syntax were all appropriate for a high school reader.
This information (mostly) should be provided to you by your teacher, and should include a biography of Ibsen, and what inspired him from his life..to write this story.
This is why you are in school!
Maybe she is asking the questions first, and will tell the answers later.
